Physical Education Teacher

Role
My role in teaching physical education is to give students the opportunity to participate in challenging activities that promote a healthy lifestyle, motor and skill development, fitness knowledge, and sportsmanship.

Professional Background
I earned my B.S. degree in exercise science from Spring Arbor College in Spring Arbor, MI and my M.S. from McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. I have been teaching in Arlington since 2003-2004 school year.

Personal
I love to spend time with my family chasing around my three children (all girls) at home. When I can, I like to get outdoors and hike. I also love to follow my Detroit Sports teams (Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons and yes, even the Lions).

Literacy Connection
One of my favorite books is Manhunt: The 12-day chase for Lincoln’s Killer by James Swanson. I generally enjoy reading books that have some historical background to them as I like history a lot.
