Nicole Davies
Grade 3 Teacher

Role
As a third grade teacher, my goal is to help students become lifelong learners by making school fun and a safe place to take risks.

Professional Background
I graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught kindergarten for a year in Michigan and then moved to Arlington where I taught second grade for 3 years at Drew Model School (Now Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary). This is my first year at ATS and I am thrilled to be a third grade teacher here! I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree from George Mason University.

Personal Interests
I live in Arlington with my husband Michael. When I’m not teaching, I’m reading, hiking, or running! In the fall, you’ll catch me on Saturdays watching Michigan football.

Literary Connection
My favorite book is The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch. My best friend showed me this book for the first time when I was in college.  Princess Elizabeth is clever and confident and strong!
