Special Education Teacher
As a Kindergarten teacher, I am an advocate for young children. It is my goal to create a safe, warm and exciting environment where children can learn through exploration as well as direct instruction. It is important for every child to have time to work independently, as well as work in small and large groups.
I attended New York University for my undergraduate education. I majored in Elementary Education, Special Education and Psychology. For my graduate program, I attended Teacher’s College, Columbia University and obtained a Masters in Literacy. I have taught in New York, Connecticut and now in Virginia. I can’t believe I have already been teaching over twelve years!
I love to be outside. The ocean is one of my favorite places to be. I enjoy diving at try to go as much as possible. I also love to read and cook.
